Sierra Stages is a community theater which enriches the cultural life of Nevada County by providing high quality, affordable and accessible performances for everyone. Among our goals is to create an ongoing and viable community theater in the Grass Valley and Nevada City area. Our board members are:

Sierra Stages is a California non-profit public benefit corporation, with tax exempt 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. Contributions to Sierra Stages are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. We welcome and are grateful for contributions in any amount.

Your contribution will be acknowledged in our programs.

We depend on volunteers to make Sierra Stages truly a community theatre. Volunteers are always welcome. If you have any experience (or no experience) in and around a theatre and would like to contribute your time and energy, please contact us at info@sierrastages.org. We could use your help backstage and in the front of house.       

The annual Elly Awards are presented by the Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Alliance (SARTA) and honor outstanding achievements of community theatres and artists in the Sacramento area.  The Elly Awards are named for the late Eleanor McClatchy, who was a devoted patron of the local arts.

Sierra Stages was nominated for 10 Elly Awards for two of its productions in the 2010-2011 Season:  LEND ME A TENOR and OLD EXPLORERS, and 3 Elly Awards for its production of Into the Woods in the 2009-2010 Season.
